JPMorgan Chase & Co. and First Trust Advisors L.P. announced the launch of KEYnotes Exchange Traded Notes (ETNs) linked to the First Trust Enhanced 130/30 Large Cap Index.
The ETNs are issued by JPMorgan Chase & Co. and are listed for trading on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol "JFT" and mature on May 25, 2023.
The Index is a modified equal weighted total return index designed to offer 130% long and 30% short exposure to selected large capitalization U.S. publicly traded equity securities through the application of a disciplined, objective investment methodology.
First Trust Portfolios L.P. will assist in the marketing of the ETNs targeting the broker/dealer market segment across the country.
Revere Data marked the one-year anniversary of the top-performing First Trust ISE-Revere Natural Gas ETF (NYSE:FCG). FCG tracks exchange-listed companies that derive a majority of their revenues from the exploration and production of natural gas as defined by Revere's patented classification system and indexes.
Since it started trading May 11, 2007, FCG has returned investors more than 45%, ranking it among the top 20 US ETFs for that 52-week period. Thus far in 2008, FCG is one of the top 10 US ETFs by price performance, within a universe of 738 funds.
Bell Investment Advisors launched the Bell Worldwide Trends Fund (TRNDX), a no-load mutual fund that will invest primarily in ETFs.
The fund's managers will use Bell’s proprietary Active Portfolio Enhancement® methodology to select ETFs to invest in the strongest global investment trends.
Bell cited the rapid growth of the ETF marketplace as a source of liquidity, flexibility and immediate access to specific markets, geographies and sectors as a catalyst for launching the fund.

State Street Global Advisors (State Street), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) and World Gold Trust Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the World Gold Council, today announced a change of name for the streetTRACKS® Gold Trust (NYSE: GLD).
Effective at the opening on May 21, 2008, the exchange traded security will trade as SPDR® Gold Shares under the re-named SPDR® Gold Trust, the ticker symbol GLD will remain unchanged. A full prospectus will be available at www.spdrgoldshares.com.
Launched by World Gold Trust Services in November 2004, GLD, the first US commodity based exchange traded security, has emerged as one of the fastest growing exchange traded products. State Street Global Markets, LLC serves as marketing agent for GLD. As of April 30, 2008, assets under management in GLD totaled approximately $16.4 billion, making it the sixth largest US ETF by assets.
WisdomTree launched an actively managed ETF holding U.S. money market securities today on the NYSA Arca under ticker symbol USY.
USY will seek to earn current income while preserving capital and maintaining liquidity by investing primarily in very short term, high-quality money market instruments denominated in U.S. dollars.
Although USY invests in very short-term, investment grade instruments, the fund is not a "money market" fund and it is not the objective of the fund to maintain a constant share price.
USY's expense ratio is 0.25%.
State Street today launched the SPDR S&P Emerging Markets Small Cap ETF (EWX) which tracks the S&P/Citigroup Emerging Market Small Cap < $2 Billion Index.
The index includes more than 1,600 companies with market capitalizations below $2 billion domiciled in 26 countries. Its expense ratio is 0.65%.
EWX joins seven other State Street emerging market ETFs including:
* SPDR S&P BRIC 40 ETF (BIK);
* SPDR S&P China ETF (GXC);
* SPDR S&P Emerging Asia Pacific ETF (GMF);
* SPDR S&P Emerging Europe ETF (GUR);
* SPDR S&P Emerging Latin America ETF (GML);
* SPDR S&P Emerging Markets ETF (GMM); and
* SPDR S&P Emerging Middle East & Africa ETF (GAF).

NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced the launch of the first four WisdomTree Dreyfus Currency Income ETFs on NYSE Arca:
- WisdomTree Dreyfus Chinese Yuan Fund (CYB)
- WisdomTree Dreyfus Indian Rupee Fund (ICN)
- WisdomTree Dreyfus Brazilian Real Fund (BZF)
- WisdomTree Dreyfus Euro Fund (EU)
The WisdomTree ETFs will seek to earn current income reflective of money market rates available to U.S. investors in the specified country or region while providing exposure to changes in the value of a designated non-U.S. currency relative to the U.S. dollar.
Claymore Advisors, LLC today announced that the Board of Trustees of Claymore/Raymond James SB-1 Equity Fund, a diversified closed-end fund (NYSE:RYJ), has approved in principle the conversion of the Fund into an exchange-traded fund (“ETF”) and is further considering the process by which such conversion would be implemented.
