Direxion Introduces 6 New 300% Funds

6 new Direxion Shares ETFs were recently launched joining the 8 Direxion funds that started trading in November.  The new ETFs will see seek 300% of daily performance or 300% of the inverse of daily performance of MSCI and Russell benchmark indexes.

The new ETFs and respective indexes are:

MSCI EAFE Index

Direxion Developed Markets Bull 3x (DZK)

Direxion Developed Markets Bear 3x (DPK)

MSCI Emerging Markets Index

Direxion Emerging Markets Bull 3x (EDC)

Direxion Emerging Markets  Bear 3x (EDZ)

Russell 1000 Technology Index

Direxion Technology Bull 3x (TYH)

WisdomTree Launches Large Cap Growth Fund

The WisdomTree LargeCap Growth Fund (ROI) started trading on the NYSE Arca with an expense ratio of 0.38%.

WisdomTree executives point out that growth’s historic underperformance may have more to do with how the major growth indexes are constructed, than with growth stocks themselves.

WisdomTree applies a fundamental weighting methodology to the growth universe to address the flaws of traditional, market capitalization-weighted indexes.

ROI is designed to track the WisdomTree LargeCap Growth Index, a fundamentally weighted index which measures the stock performance of approximately 300 large-cap growth companies in the U.S.

Leveraged Gold and Silver ETFs Begin Trading

ProFunds Group launched the first exchange traded funds in the United States to provide short or leveraged exposure to gold or silver. The four new ETFs began trading on the NYSE Arca on December 3.
